Most vaccinated visitors including those from Vietnam will be exempt from mandatory quarantine on arrival in South Korea from April 1.
People who are fully immunized against Covid-19 with a vaccine approved by WHO, except from Myanmar, Pakistan, Uzbekistan and Ukraine, will be exempt.
They are required to enter their vaccine records in new online system Q-code prior to arriving and scan a QR code at immigration.
They must also furnish a negative PCR test result on arrival and take another PCR test a day after entry.
Korean now requires all foreign arrivals to self-isolate for seven days regardless of their vaccination status.
Around 200,000 Vietnamese live in the country.
